A brave little girl battling Leukemia held up a sign saying, “Chemo by day and Jets by night,” and it didn’t go unnoticed. 7 Year old Alyx Delaloye caught the attention of the Winnipeg jets team, and was invited by them to return the next week. During that game she spotted Keaton Hamin, who had just won an autographed hockey stick. She went to see it, and after checking it out Alyx returned to her parents not expecting what was about to happen next. 9 Year old Keaton felt inspired to spread a little more sunshine on Alyx’s day and show her his support. Giving her the best surprise ever, he followed her back, and generously gave her his much coveted hockey stick.
What Keaton did reminded us of what the Bible says in Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. Keaton did a generous and kind deed from the heart, without any expectation of reward and he was rewarded beautifully. There is something so precious about when kids out of innocent, and selfless love for others give from their heart. Well done Keaton!
