Paul Burgoyne remembers being thrown around on board a ship before it went down in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Vancouver, in 2012. When it went down his camera went with it, and Paul had no hopes of ever seeing it again. He was rescued some time later, and went on with his life.
When some divers were doing a research dive they found his camera. They cleaned up the memory card, and it worked, surprisingly the pictures were intact. Putting the word out on Twitter is what reunited Paul with the pictures. The pictures turned out to be precious, and irreplaceable, as they were the last ones of his family taken together after a family death.
