You Don’t Mess With A Lioness & Her Cubs Unless You’re This Guy!

This made us want to talk about trust, it’s interesting to see so clearly what trust vividly looks like when it is shared between humans and animals.  Kevin Richardson a zookeeper from, South Africa, and a lioness who has just given birth to cubs share a level of trust typically not seen. A lioness that has just given birth usually will not allow any of the pride members near the cubs. So as we watch this video we realize the crucial need for trust in this situation if she doesn’t trust him she will maul him. Kevin’s life is at the mercy of the lioness and both are putting their trust in each other. It was a relief to see the lioness welcome Kevin allowing him near her precious cubs. Their interactions should give us all hope, because if two completely different species can trust each other to this extent, then we as humans can also learn to trust each other as well.
