84 year old actress Debbie Reynolds was at her son’s home making funeral arrangements for her daughter, Carrie Fisher who had just passed away one day before when she suffered a stroke. Debbie later died in hospital, only one day after her beloved daughter who she was very close to. Considered Hollywood royalty, much of Hollywood is in mourning at the shocking loss of both these talented women, and so are we.
When we think of Debbie Reynolds what comes to mind for many of us is the memory of her classic movies. She was a best selling female vocalist with a hit song called, “Tammy.” In 1957 at the age of 23, Debbie was in a film with Leslie Nielsen called, “Tammy and the Bachelor” and she recorded her best selling single record that went gold. “Tammy” spent 23 weeks on the top 40 charts, and held the number 1 place for five solid weeks. The sweet romantic song was also nominated for a, “Best Song” Academy Award that year. As a tribute to Debbie we found this viral video of her performance of, “Tammy” and we wanted to share this woman’s legendary talent with our readers. Our condolences and prayers go out to their family. Rest In Peace Debbie and Carrie.
