When I watched this video it really stirred compassion in me. People are people, whether they have a home or not. People who are homeless deserve the same dignity as anyone else, whether they are in that situation by tragic forced circumstances, temporarily, or even willingly, it’s still not our place to judge them. When we are approached by strangers asking for help many times peoples first reactions can be apprehension, and caution, many people shut them down, shunning them with indifference. Many times people put up a boundary that keeps the other person out of their space, and eliminates the chances of the person asking for help, or of getting involved in helping. The homeless in the video know what it is like to have nothing, and do not hesitate to share what little they have with others in need. They have learned the lesson of generosity, and truly loving their fellow man. God’s Word tells us we are to feed the poor, and clothe the naked, we are not to ignore them, or treat them with indifference. So often we forget God is omnipresent, always watching, and with us, he sees every good, and bad deed, and he knows what’s in our heart. God loves all his children, and wants all of us to love and help each other also.
Mathew 26:34-36 “Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me.”(NAB)
