Lunch at this elementary school in Saitama, Japan is amazing! The food is grown at the schools own farm, and harvested by the children and staff. It is likely organic, and teaches them how to garden. The lunch staff prepare a total of 720 meals every day from scratch. The meals are well balanced, nutritious, and best of all everyone comes together, and works as a team at lunch time. All the staff and students participate from pick up, serving, to clean up, everyone happily helps out. The children have been taught to be polite, gratitude is shown to all for their contributions, and the way lunch is organized makes everything run so smoothly. This is what a fun, healthy atmosphere, and lunch should look like at school. This is a great idea that more schools should incorporate in North America.
