One of the hardest things in life to face is the death of a parent, and it can be even harder when that tragedy occurs in the middle of an important event in a persons life like a wedding, or a big game. Julie respectfully laid her father to rest that Saturday, and had written off any chance of being able to go with her team to play for the basketball state title. She had to say farewell properly to one of the most important people in her life, and the game was being held 150 miles away in another city.
When Kenmore Airlines heard of her inability to make it to one of the most important events of her life they came to Julie’s rescue, and offered her a chartered flight. She accepted, and was at the game that afternoon. Her story is a wonderful testament that God has the ability to turn any situation around for us, in the most amazing ways possible. While at the game Julie knew her dad was watching her she could just feel him, and was comforted, she knew he was there for her spiritually praying for her. She could feel the fear, stress, and anxiety, all being lifted off of her, and she just could not stop smiling. She went on to play the best game of her season, scoring 20 points in a victory of 48 to 37.
