These carvings are exquisite, and at first sight totally deceptive! The replicas, busts, and other forms that artist Li Hongbo has done in this video are absolutely amazing. They would be outstanding if they were made of plaster, but these are made from intricately layering thousands, upon thousands of sheets of paper. It has taken Li Hongbo years of trial, and error to develop this method, but as you can see he has mastered his new art form to perfection. If anyone is interested in viewing his art it is on display at the Klein Sun Gallery in New York.
