This is a wake up call! If you’ve ever had a dream and not pursued it, have regrets, or don’t feel you are living up to your potential then this should be an inspiration and reminder to go after those dreams. While watching the video I thought of Lucille Ball’s quote, “I would rather regret the things I’ve done, than the things I haven’t.” This video is a great example of what she means by that quote. The overwhelming theme of regrets written on the board in the video was the things people didn’t do! Matter of fact the, “not doing” is something we are all guilty of at one time or another.
The hard part about the, “not doing” something is the never knowing what could have been. Many people look back at their lives and regret the way they got caught up in the everyday things. They didn’t pay attention to the important things in life, like spending quality time with family and cherishing relationships. People often look back and regret not taking a chance on a great opportunity, making that positive change, or pursuing their dreams and goals. Rather than making ourselves crazy with regrets about things we cannot change, accepting and letting it go is a healthier choice.
However it’s important to self examine where you are now, and where you want to go in life. We should always have goals and strive for their achievement. It’s equally important to realize when a dream or goal doesn’t work out, not to beat ourselves up, its not the end of the world. Keep in mind there is a tomorrow, and that it holds the promise of a new day, and a fresh chance to regroup and set a new goal. Life always changes and new different opportunities will always arise if we are open to them.
