What an inspiring man! When Taylor Conroy went to Kenya and Uganda he was overwhelmed at the living conditions kids were forced to endure. The lack of education, food, and basic necessities of life haunted him. When he returned home to Canada, he became depressed at seeing the abundant life enjoyed there, knowing the suffering the kids were enduring. He felt tormented until he decided to do something about it.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
He decided to take the initiative, and asked 33 of his friends to donate their change of $3.33 a day, for 3 months, that would add up to $10, 000, and educate around one thousand kids. Taylor knew education is one of the most basic, and important first steps for people to get out of poverty. Taylor has gone on, and continued in this wonderful work, knowing first hand, “everybody has the ability to change the world.” If anyone is interested in supporting this great cause here is a link.
