When these Koala’s were hit by a car the mum called Lizzy was hurt badly. She suffered a collapsed lung along with head trauma, and a fractured skull. Her baby named Phantom was miraculously unharmed. While doing surgery at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, Baby Phantom lovingly clings to his mum, never leaving her side while she is being operated on. Lizzy recovered nicely, and was up and moving around within a week. The sweet sight of this baby holding his mum is a huge reminder animals can be a lot like humans with their family, sharing concern, love, loyalty, and close bonds.
