In the city of Calgary, in Canada, a minor league hockey team called, “the Calgary Hitmen,” along with Petro Canada hosted the 21st “teddy bear toss,” hockey game. The avalanche of flying, furry toys was signaled by a player in the middle of the game. Fans showered the ice with soft teddy bears to be collected for local kids, and distributed to them through 50 different charities. Seeing 28,815 teddy bears raining down onto the ice is nothing short of spectacular, and it’s a great testimony of the generosity of these hockey fans.
