While pregnant Shellie and Greg Tucker were dealt a shock they will never forget. The ultrasound showed their twins had not separated properly, and were conjoined at the chest and abdomen. Thankfully they did not listen to the doctor who recommended an abortion. They dug deeper, and found hope in specialists at Philadelphia’s Children’s Hospital, who were confident the twins could be separated. The surgery was done by a large team of doctors, and nurses, when the babies were 8 months old. The surgery was a resounding success, and both parents are overjoyed with this miracle. This is just another one of those cases that reminds us there is always hope, never give up, life is precious, and we never know how things can turn out if we give miracles a chance to unfold.
